Getting a new tattoo is exciting, but the real work begins after you leave the studio. Proper aftercare ensures your tattoo heals correctly and maintains its vibrant appearance for years to come.

The First 24 Hours

Keep the bandage on for the time recommended by your artist (typically 2-4 hours). When you remove it, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

Days 2-14: The Healing Phase

Apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer 2-3 times daily. Avoid submerging in water, direct sunlight, and scratching or picking at any scabs that form.

Long-term Care

Always apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) to your tattoo when exposed to sunlight. Keep your skin moisturized. A well-maintained tattoo can look fresh for decades.
